There is an increase in demand for spare parts for agricultural machinery in the Russian Federation
Russian agricultural producers are currently inclined to invest in the repair and maintenance of previously purchased agricultural equipment, rather than to order new or used ones. This is demonstrated by the result of a survey made jointly by www.aa-p.ru website, Avito and Pole.Ru. There is a certain tendency to increase the service life of agricultural machinery: farmers have begun to handle it more carefully, naturally, the need for spare parts and regular maintenance is increasing. According to the Avito.Ru platform, in 2025, the demand for components has risen six times compared to last year, and the supply has increased by almost 90 percent. The top five cities with a record increase in demand for components for agricultural machinery included settlements from regions with a dynamic agricultural sector.
Based on the analytics obtained from the Pole portal, there is a 6-fold increase in the interest of agricultural producers in spare parts for agricultural machinery in 2024. Farmers are now prioritizing an efficient and, in fact, safe way to order parts from websites. Here it is immediately clear who is the manufacturer of the parts, and at the same time, comprehensive assistance is provided, from the selection of goods to the delivery of the order. In addition, leasing of agricultural machinery is in trend, the demand for which is increasing three to four times from year to year, especially taking into account state support.
Based on analytics collected from the Avito.ru website, at the beginning of 2023, more than 140000 offers for the sale of spare parts for agricultural machinery in Russia were presented on this online platform. Of this selection, about 118000 ads concerned the sale of new spare parts. Last year, platforms, bodies, booths, attachments, as well as parts of hydraulic systems were extremely popular parts on the scale of Russia. The head of the profile section "Spare Parts" on the Avito portal reports that against the backdrop of the course for import substitution, the agricultural sector is showing rapid growth and has identified a constant need for equipment, specialists, components and equipment.
Previously, the Association's press releases emphasized the reduction in the production of tractors in the Russian Federation in 2024. According to the Ministry of Agriculture, during 2024, domestic agricultural enterprises reduced the volume of purchases of the main types of agricultural machinery. It is assumed that this trend will remain relevant in the future.
