Arriving at Orlando International Airport and wondering how to get to your Disney hotel? You have several options, including rideshare services, airport shuttles, taxis, private car services, and rental cars. The best choice depends on where you are staying, how many people are traveling, how much luggage you have, and whether you want a direct ride or a lower-cost shared transfer.

If you are staying at a Disney-owned resort, you can compare transportation services that serve those properties. If your hotel is outside Disney World, such as a Marriott hotel near Flamingo Crossings Town Center, you will need to choose transportation that takes you directly to your hotel.

This guide explains how to get from Orlando International Airport to your hotel, what to consider before booking, and how to make your arrival easier.

How Far Is Orlando International Airport From Disney World?

Orlando International Airport, also known as MCO, is the main airport serving visitors to Walt Disney World. The drive to the Disney area generally takes around 30 to 45 minutes, depending on traffic, your hotel location, and the route.

Hotels near Flamingo Crossings Town Center are on the western side of the Disney area. Your exact travel time will depend on traffic and the location of your hotel.

Remember that your airport transfer is only one part of the journey. You may also need time to collect checked bags, pick up a rental car, find your driver, or wait for a shared shuttle. If you arrive during a busy holiday period or late at night, plan for possible delays.

5 Ways to Get From Orlando Airport to Your Disney Hotel

There is no single best transportation option for every visitor. Compare these five choices before your trip.

1. Uber or Lyft

Rideshare services such as Uber and Lyft are convenient options for travelers who want to go directly from Orlando International Airport to their hotel.

After collecting your luggage, follow the airport signs and the instructions in your rideshare app to reach the designated pickup area. Enter your hotel's address carefully and check the vehicle details before getting in.

Why choose rideshare?

• Direct transportation to your hotel.

• No need to share the ride with other hotel guests.

• Convenient for families, couples, and small groups.

• No need to keep a rental car for your entire vacation.

The price depends on demand, the type of vehicle, pickup conditions, and your destination. Larger vehicles may cost more but can provide extra space for luggage. If you are traveling with children, check whether the selected vehicle meets your car seat requirements. Do not assume every available vehicle includes a child safety seat.

Best for: Travelers who want a direct ride and prefer not to drive themselves.

2. Mears Connect Airport Shuttle

Mears Connect provides paid shuttle transportation between Orlando International Airport and participating hotels in the Disney area. It is a shared transportation option, so you may travel with other guests and make additional stops.

You should book in advance and confirm that your specific hotel is served before paying. This last point matters if you are staying outside Disney's own resort hotels. Do not assume that a shuttle serving a Disney resort will also drop you at a Marriott hotel near Flamingo Crossings.

What to check before booking:

• Whether your hotel is included in the service area.

• The available departure and return times.

• The number of stops on your route.

• The price for every traveler in your group.

• Luggage rules and child safety arrangements.

A shared shuttle may cost less than a private vehicle for some groups, but the total journey can take longer because of waiting and hotel stops.

Best for: Travelers whose hotel is served by the shuttle and who prefer a shared transfer.

3. Private Car or Van Service

A private car service lets you arrange a driver to meet you at the airport and take your group directly to your hotel.

This option can be helpful for families with young children, travelers carrying several bags, or groups that want to avoid waiting for a shared shuttle. Some providers offer larger vehicles, advance pickup arrangements, and child safety seats by request. Confirm the details before booking.

Why consider a private transfer?

• A direct trip to your hotel.

• Advance arrangements for your arrival.

• Vehicle options for families and larger groups.

• Less need to manage luggage between different forms of transport.

Private transfers usually cost more than shared options. Ask whether the quoted price includes airport pickup, waiting time, tolls, gratuity, and any additional charges.

Best for: Families, groups, and travelers who value a prearranged pickup.

4. Taxi

Taxis are another option at Orlando International Airport. They can take you directly to your hotel without requiring you to arrange a rental car. A taxi may be useful if you prefer to arrange transportation after landing rather than booking a service in advance.

Before leaving the airport, confirm the fare structure, payment methods, vehicle capacity, and whether the taxi can accommodate all your luggage. If you are traveling with several people, compare the taxi fare with rideshare and private transfer prices before deciding.

Best for: Travelers who want a direct ride and prefer a traditional taxi service.

5. Rental Car

Renting a car gives you more freedom to explore Orlando beyond your hotel and Disney World. You can collect your rental car at the airport, drive to your hotel, and use the vehicle for shopping, restaurants, and other attractions during your trip. However, a rental car comes with extra responsibilities and costs.

Consider these expenses:

• Daily rental rate and taxes.

• Fuel.

• Tolls.

• Parking charges at your hotel or other destinations, if applicable.

• Insurance or other rental options you choose.

You should also allow time to complete the rental process and collect the vehicle after landing.

If your plans mainly involve Disney World and your hotel has the amenities you need, you may not need a car for the entire stay. Compare the cost of renting a vehicle with the cost of airport transfers and any local transportation you expect to use.

Best for: Travelers planning to visit several Orlando attractions or who want the flexibility to drive throughout their vacation.

Which Airport Transportation Option Is Best for Your Family?

Your group size and travel plans can help you choose the right transfer.

For a couple with light luggage, a rideshare or taxi may be convenient. Families should compare the total cost of a private vehicle with the per-person price of a shared shuttle. Larger groups may find a van service useful if everyone and their luggage fit comfortably. Always compare current quotes for your travel date rather than relying on an old price estimate.

How to Get From Orlando Airport to a Marriott Hotel Near Disney World

If you are staying at a Marriott hotel near Disney World, choose transportation based on the hotel's actual address. Not every airport shuttle serves every hotel in the Orlando area. Two Marriott options available through Gilded Pass are located at Flamingo Crossings Town Center.

Fairfield Inn & Suites is an option for travelers who want a hotel near Disney World with a choice of standard rooms and suites. To get there from MCO, compare a rideshare, taxi, private transfer, or rental car. If you prefer an airport shuttle, confirm directly with the provider that it serves this specific hotel.

Before your trip, save the hotel address on your phone and check the expected driving time for your arrival period. If you are arriving late, arranging your transportation ahead of time can help reduce uncertainty.

Residence Inn is another Marriott option near Disney World. Its suite accommodations and kitchen facilities can be useful for families and travelers planning longer stays. The same airport transfer options apply, but confirm that your selected service will take you to the exact Residence Inn address. Do not book a shuttle based only on the fact that it serves Walt Disney World.

If you plan to rent a car, consider whether you will use it throughout your stay or only for the airport journey. Your answer can help you decide between a rental and a direct transfer.

Does Disney Provide Free Transportation From Orlando Airport?

No. Disney's Magical Express, the former complimentary airport shuttle service for Walt Disney World Resort guests, ended in January 2022. Travelers must arrange their own airport transportation.

Disney operates complimentary transportation options within parts of Walt Disney World for eligible resort guests, but these are different from transportation between Orlando International Airport and your hotel.

If you are staying at a Disney resort, check the current transportation information for your property. If you are staying at an off-property hotel, confirm which services are available at your specific address.

How to Make Your Airport Arrival Easier

A little preparation can make the trip from MCO to your hotel much smoother.

• Book transportation before you fly: If you need a shared shuttle or private transfer, check availability and make your reservation in advance. Keep the confirmation details accessible on your phone.

• Check your hotel's exact address: Some hotels have similar names or are part of the same hotel area. Use the address shown on your booking confirmation to avoid entering the wrong destination.

• Plan for checked luggage: Do not schedule a tight pickup if you expect to check bags. Allow time to leave the plane, collect luggage, and reach the pickup area.

• Confirm child safety arrangements: If you are traveling with young children, ask the transportation provider about child safety seats and any applicable rules before booking.

• Compare the total price: Look beyond the initial fare. Check whether taxes, tolls, airport pickup, waiting time, luggage, and other charges are included.

• Keep your arrival details handy: Save your hotel confirmation, transfer reservation, driver instructions, and hotel contact information. If your flight is delayed, follow the transportation provider's policy for updating your pickup time.
